My Story

I first experienced panic attacks when I was 16, while roaming around in a bookstore. Later in that year, I was diagnosed with an illness I had never heard of in my life and learned that it was chronic and was going to be with me for the rest of my life.

Fast forward to 2016, and I was diagnosed with gluten intolerance and severe candida in my gut, as I was experiencing severe brain fog and crying episodes. I had to cut down on gluten, sugar, and dairy. But that was not it. I knew I needed to change how I think, too. I was on low energy all the time, and this led to depression. I was not able to find anything creative to write and publish on my blog. That's why I decided to take a break from blogging in 2019, which was one of the hardest decisions of my life.

Now, the plot twist. March 2020 rolls in with the whole world going crazy because of the pandemic. Little did I know, in the middle of all that chaos, I'd find my happy place—a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program that lasts eight weeks. Let me tell you, life did a 180. The exhausted, unmotivated Penny? Gone. It felt like I'd finally hit the play button on my life after years of battling both mental and physical health issues.

MBSR was like my superhero, pulling me out of the funk and showing me the way to a healthier, happier me. Those mindfulness tricks weren't just stress-busters; they were my GPS guiding me to a life filled with purpose and inspiration.

No more dragging the baggage of my past. I came out of that program with a new lease on life. The fog lifting meant my creative juices were flowing again, and my blog got a much-needed revival. If I was able to beat my creative block, so can you.

After completing my bachelors in literature in 2021, with elective lessons I attend at the Psychology department, I led mindfulness sessions during my masters degree as a part of a project called Mindful Classics, which was founded by my academic supervisor.

Now, I'm ready to share my knowledge about mindfulness and creativity after spending almost 4 years in this field. I'm still searching and building upon my knowledge. Delve into the profound impact of mindfulness and breathwork as I unveil the secrets I discovered during my own 8-week MBSR course. My desire to share this life-changing experience led me to create the Core Skills of Mindfulness for Unleashing Your Potential, an exclusive compilation of effortless activities and hidden gems that can seamlessly integrate into your daily life.

Having navigated through challenges similar to yours, I'm now on a mission to empower individuals and make the profound benefits of mindfulness accessible to everyone.
