Bookshelf Organizing 101

Hello peeps!
I’m coming at you with a different kind of post. It’s about… BOOKSHELF ORGANISING! 101! This is a freshman lesson! Life tips and hacks! Hashtag adulting 101. Kind of.

This evening, I’m going to be giving you tips about organizing your books according to their colors, so that you can give your bookshelf a more aesthetically pleasing look. This is my way personally, but I find that organizing them according to their genre, their authors and alphabetical order is also A GREAT WAY TO DO!

Whichever way you decide to go with, the first step you’ll have take  is to lay all your books on the floor. Begin categorizing them in the  order you want to put them on the shelf.
The next step is deciding on which shelf you’ll place them on. I have about 10 medium-sized shelves, on which I can fit approximately 8-10 books. If you have much bigger shelves, then that’s amazing!

It’s up to you to place your books on which shelves you would like! You will totally rock your ”bookshelf” style. 🙂
As I’ve mentioned above, my books are all lined up according to their colors. To be honest, I don’t have that many blue-colored books. Or yellow ones. But I tried to organize them according to their color similarity. Here’s a peek from my most colorful shelf EVER!& I’m proud of it really! 🙂

Eeek! This shelf is basically YA books that I still keep tho I’m 21. Ya know.  And signed books from Zoe&Carrie!
Let me know which ways are best for your bookshelf organization! For me, organizing my bookshelves every so often is an activity that I love and look forward to doing. It eases me, even though I have little crises while doing the organizing since I want every book to look eye-pleasing and tidy.
If you have any topics you would like to see on this blog, let me know in the comments below or write to my Twitter handle @whatdidshetype.
I’m planning awesome things. Hopefully, school will allow me to do it!
Until the next time,
