The term ”values” has been used for centuries. But this one is going to elaborate on Dr. John Demartini’s ”Highest Values” scheme.
I was introduced to Demartini during my ”Miracle Course Formula” hosted by the most eminent breath work coach in Turkey, Nevsah Fidan Karamehmet. I learnt about Demartini’s values and the famous Demartini method. ( which is LIFE-CHANGING!)
After learning about my values, I started living a more meaningful life. I wrote about my experience here.
So, what are those top values, and how can they help us live an aligned and purposeful life and for our self-growth?
When you value something, and the higher it is in your value hierarchy, the more disciplined you will be in that area. For example, writing is my second highest value. You can totally understand this if you look at my life in detail. I’m a blogger and also a writer who is currently working on her first collection of short stories and poems. My life revolves around writing, and no one else tells me to write a blog post or a poem. It comes naturally. Now, when something is at your higher value, it means that no one tells you to ”do it”. You do it naturally, you have never ending inspiration. The river flows into you.

Dr. Demartini says that if a value is more important to you, it will be at the top of your values. The less important value will be at your lower level of your value hierarchy, so it’s going to be an area where you lack motivation. (For example, sports are not in my three top highest values, so I find it hard to stick to an exercise plan)
When you determine your values and live according to them, you’ll awaken motivation and inspiration in you. You’ll notice that your life is moving in that direction. I spent years asking myself ” What is my true mission in life?” I felt as if everyone knew what they wanted to do, but I felt stuck. In reality, I was already living my own destiny and my purpose in this life.
Your present destiny lies beneath your top 3 highest values.
There are some questions that are very important for the test to figure out your top 3 highest values.
The questions vary from:
-What do you spend your time on the most, second and third?
-What energizes you the most, second and third?
-What do you spend money on the most, second and third?
-In which areas of your life are you most organized and disciplined?
-In which areas of your life do you accomplish the most?
Here’s Demartini’s ”Value Determination Test”. I promise it will be worth your time. There are only 13 steps, and I swear you’ll enjoy filling the answers. 🙂https://drdemartini.com/values/start
Knowing yourself is the greatest revolution on this planet. If I inspire you to do that, I would be the happiest person on this Earth now, since it means that I have achieved one of my missions!
Let’s meet in the comments section. Do you know your top three values? What are them? Did you find this post useful?
Until next time,
